This a full-time position and requires the ability to work at least eight hours per day Monday through Friday with the potential to work overtime hours and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Install electrical equipment
  • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks
  • Prepare and assemble conduits
  • Acquire required tools within six months of hire
  • Lift heavy objects: assist getting materials, load and unload trucks, and clean-up of the job area.
  • Physical activity: climb ladder with material/tools, load wire reels, lift lights, hold material and use appropriate tools
  • Install various kinds of wires, cable and conduits
  • Connect conductors to switches, receptacles or appliances using proper techniques
  • Comply with OSHA and Rivers Electrical standards and procedures


Skills Required:

  • No experience necessary
  • We will provide all the training necessary for you to be successful


Additional Requirements:

  • Must be age 18 or older
  • Must be neat, safe, and professional
  • OSHA 10 certificate, or willingness to complete
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or GED

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
  • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility
  • Prepare and assemble conduits
  • Acquire required tools within six months of hire
  • Lift heavy objects: assist getting materials, load and unload trucks, and clean-up of the job area.
  • Physical activity: climb ladder with material/tools, load wire reels, lift lights, dig trenches, hold material and use appropriate tools
  • Install various kinds of wires, cable and conduits
  • Pull wires, attach wires to fish tape and keep wire free from kinks or abrasion
  • Connect conductors to switches, receptacles or appliances using proper techniques
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and adjust or repair to comply with codes
  • Inform management of any known dangers or hazardous equipment, tools or locations
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures for compatibility and safety using appropriate testing devices
  • Comply with OSHA and Rivers Electrical standards and procedures

 

Skills Requirements:

  • Experienced commercial or industrial electrical proficiency
  • Electrical code knowledge
  • Read, understand, analyze blueprints and schematic drawings
  • Follow directions and decipher technical information
  • Knowledge of feeders, services, fire alarms, wire pulling, and underground services
  • Pipe bending, circuit wiring, and wire pulling
  • Plan and project weekly material and labor requirements
